today's my bro's graduation parade from BMT and i would say its a pretty important thing for him and a passing phase in his NSF time. i managed to get time out from my boss just to make it for his parade and at least to show that i do care too. reached Pasir ris at bout 1230 and had someth to waste b4 we like take the chartered bus to the ferry terminal.. my mum was so damn excited bout the candy man cuz he was making animals outta his candy... ahha my mum....alwiz so cute! lolz
reached the parade square in tekong damn early and we got one of the betta seats right in the middle cuz my bro's the company best shot and hence we got betta seats. The wait to for the start was long and interrupted by series of rain....hmmz.. but well.. the most exciting thing is catching Huang Wenyong and Mediacorp filming a show there. yeah... hmmz..
The parade started at 3.15 pm and was again interrupted by the rain, but the reviewing officer decided to carry on the parade and inspected the parade in the rain..kudos to the reviewing officer....ahah. hmmz.. he had this infectious smile that he carries and this charm that kinda affected me too.. ahha.. the parade was kinda normal... and that i wud prefer to let the fotos do the talking later. wad rubbed some emotions into me was this banner i've seen at the terminal on the 1st day of MY ENLISTMENT.
It says.. 'its not wad u leave behind, but wad u gain in the days ahead....'
i think its really, really true..
saw lotta gfs of the graduands and i was kinda reminded of the days i had in NS, my commissioning parade that i'd marched in and the day i threw my peak cap into the nite sky...i was an officer, been one...and will alwiz be.. i missed those days... i missed NS....ahhaha that period of time, u had everything and it was so brainless work...minus all the late nite tortures to finish my lesson plans...
hmmz.. well..i went to town myself after the parade, it was raining heavily and i was like walking like a zombie, prolly cuz i was sleeping on the train...hahah.. but well.. i wanted to get someth from that particular shop, but they were having dinner and so i had to be back in 15... so i walked arnd, walked to art frenz to look for some handicraft stuffs i cud make in my free time... but nothin really caught my attention la and so..i left...haha
more importantly i got wad i wanted and this will serve as a stark reminder....to myself...i will not fall......!
